 Custom Computer Cables

At Computer Cable Makers Inc., we have light assembly capabilities and are able to produce a limited amount of custom computer cables using simple hand tools.

Contrary to popular belief, we are not a manufacturer.

We do however have a group of OEM cabling manufacturers that build SCSI cables to our specifications. Typical turn around time is one to three weeks for most orders.

To obtain a quote on your custom cable project, please supply us with the following information:

  • Drawing

  • Pin to Pin Wiring Diagram

  • Cable Type

  • Connector Types

  • Cable Length

  • Quantity

  • Delivery Date

  • Special Instructions

Wiring Diagrams:

A typical wiring diagram consists of 2 rows of pins and how they relate to each other. Here is an example of a wiring diagram:

    DB-9F    DB-25M
          2---3
          3---2
          5---7
  6 and 8---20
  4 and 5---6
                4 jumped to 5

Here is it explained line by line:

DB-9F---DB-25M (9 pin d shell female connector to 25 pin d shell male connector)

2---3 (pin 2 on db-9f connected to pin 3 on db-25m)

3---2 (pin 3 on db-9f connected to pin 2 on db-25m)

5---7 (pin 5 on db-9f connected to pin 7 on db-25m)

6 and 8---20 (pins 6 and 8 on db-9f connected to pin 20 db-25m)

4 and 5---6 (pins 4 and 5 on db-9f connected to pin 6 db-25m)

4 jumped to 5 (pins 4 and 5 on db-25m are connected together)
